Crime & Policy Violation Report Feb. 4 – Feb. 11

The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between Feb. 4, 2014, and Feb. 11, 2014. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

Theft (5)

Feb. 6, 3 a.m. 3300 Block of Race Street

A Drexel student reported that on Feb. 6, between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m., unknown person(s) took her laptop computer that was left unattended in a common area.

Feb. 7 200 Block of North 34th Street

A Drexel student reported that, between Feb. 7 and Feb. 15, unknown person(s) made several unauthorized MAC withdrawals from her account.

Feb. 8, 3 p.m. 3200 Block of Market Street

A complainant reported that between Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. and Feb. 11 at 7 a.m., unknown person(s) forcibly entered locked construction boxes and removed copper fittings.

Feb. 9, 4:30 p.m. 3300 Block of Market Street

A Drexel student reported that on Feb. 9, between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., unknown person(s) took cash from his secured locker. There was no sign of forced entry.

Feb. 11, 10:50 a.m. 3100 Block of Market Street

A Drexel employee reported that on Feb. 11, between 10:50 a.m. and 10:55 a.m., unknown person(s) took his laptop that was left unattended in an open room.

Vandalism (1)

Feb. 9 3200 Block of Powelton Avenue

A Drexel student reported that on Feb. 9, unknown person(s) threw a snowball at his residence, causing the glass in the door to break.

Trespassing (1)

Feb. 9, 1:25 a.m. 3300 Block of Powelton Avenue

Drexel Police arrested a Drexel student on Feb. 9 at 1:25 a.m. after he repeatedly returned to the scene of a disturbance after being told not to return.

Drugs (1)

Feb. 9, 6:30 p.m. Unit Block of South 36th Street

Drexel Police arrested a Drexel student on Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. after he was found to be in possession of cocaine and marijuana.

During the period covered in this report, there were four (4) Policy Violations for alcohol and one (1) Policy Violation for drugs. The reports were sent to the Office of Student Conduct for review.
