Crime & Policy Violation Report
The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between May 9, 2012 and May 22, 2012. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.
Robbery 1
May 17, 11:20 p.m. 3200 Block of Spring Garden Street
A Drexel student reported that May 17 at 11:20 p.m., he was approached by two unknown males who assaulted him and took his money and cell phone.
Burglary 1
May 17, 7 a.m. 3300 Block of Arch Street
A Drexel student reported that May 17 between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m., unknown person(s) entered the basement through an unlocked door and took power tools.
Assault 1
May 20, 12:18 a.m. 3300 Block of Market Street
Drexel Police arrested a non-Drexel male, 29-year-old Sean Robinson, after he assaulted a non-Drexel female, causing minor injuries.
Theft 6
May 9, 8 p.m. 3300 Block of Market Street
A Drexel student reported that May 17, between 5:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., unknown person(s) took a pair of sneakers from an unsecured locker.
May 16, 8:30 a.m. 200 Block of North 34th Street
A Drexel employee reported that between May 16 at 8:30 a.m. and May 17 at 8 a.m., unknown person(s) took a chair from a retail establishment.
May 17, 8 p.m. 3500 Block of Warren Street
A non-Drexel affiliate reported that between May 17 at 8 p.m. and May 18 at 7:30 p.m., unknown person(s) entered her car with no signs of force and took a GPS and clothing that was left unattended.
May 18, 5:30 a.m. Unit Block of South 33rd Street
A Drexel affiliate reported that between May 18 at 5:30 a.m. and May 19 at 10:55 a.m., unknown person(s) entered her car with no signs of force and took a laptop and personal items.
May 22, 1:50 p.m. 3300 Block of Market Street
A Drexel student reported that May 22 between 1:50 p.m. and 4 p.m., unknown person(s) took her headphones that were left unattended on a table.
May 22, 4:30 p.m. 2900 Block of Queen Lane
A Drexel employee reported that May 22 between 4:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m., unknown person(s) took her wallet and cell phone that were left in an unlocked room.
Vandalism 2
May 17, 6:30 a.m. 100 Block of North 34th Street
A Drexel affiliate reported that May 17 between 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m., the driver’s side of his car was scratched in an unknown manner.
May 19, 3:30 a.m. 200 Block of North 34th Street
A Drexel employee reported that May 19 between 3:30 a.m. and 3:40 a.m., unknown person(s) broke several fluorescent lights in a stairwell.
Alcohol Policy Violations 4
During the period covered by this report, there were four (4) alcohol related incidents that were sent to the Office of Student Conduct for review.
