The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between Jan. 8, 2014 and Jan. 14, 2014. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

Burglary 3

Dec. 24, 2013 3500 Block of Hamilton Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that between Dec. 24, 2013, and Jan. 8, 2014, unknown person(s) entered his vacant property and removed doors and light fixtures. No force was used.

Jan. 11 3200 Block of Powelton Avenue

A Drexel student reported that between Jan. 11 and Jan. 12, unknown person(s) entered her apartment by forcing the door and took cash that was left on the table.

Jan. 14, 7:30 a.m. 3400 Block of Powelton Avenue

A Drexel student reported that on Jan. 14, between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., unknown person(s) entered his apartment by forcing the door and took computers and a gaming system.

Theft 12

Dec. 8, 2013 3200 Block of Chestnut Street

A Drexel employee reported that between Dec. 8, 2013, and Dec. 9, 2013 unauthorized transactions were made by unknown person(s) using her Drexel issued credit card.

Jan. 8, 12:30 p.m. 1400 Block of Vine Street

A Drexel employee reported that on Jan. 8, between 12:30 p.m. and 12:40 p.m., unknown person(s) took her iPhone 4 that was left in view in her unlocked office.

Jan. 9, 7:50 a.m. 3200 Block of Market Street

A Drexel student reported that on Jan. 9, between 7:50 a.m. and 1:45 p.m., unknown person(s) took his bicycle that was secured to a bike rack with a cable lock.

Jan. 9, 7:59 p.m. 3200 Block of Chestnut Street

A Drexel employee reported that on Jan. 9 at 7:59 p.m., an unknown female placed two books into her bag and fled the bookstore without paying for the books.

Jan. 9 Unit Block of South 31st Street

A Drexel employee reported that on Jan. 9, between 9 a.m. and 10:50 a.m., unknown person(s) broke the window to her vehicle and took clothing and books.

Jan. 9 3400 Block of Ludlow Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that between Jan. 9 and Jan. 10, unknown person(s) broke the window to his vehicle and took personal items that were left in view.

Jan. 10 3100 Block of John F. Kennedy Boulevard

A Drexel student reported that between Jan. 10 and Jan. 13, unknown person(s) broke the window to her vehicle and took a GPS that was left in view.

Jan. 10 3100 Block of John F. Kennedy Boulevard

A Drexel student reported that between Jan. 10 and Jan. 12, unknown person(s) forced the window to his vehicle and ransacked the interior. Nothing was taken.

Jan. 12 3200 Block of Race Street

A Drexel student reported that between Jan. 12 and Jan. 13, unknown person(s) broke the window to his vehicle and took personal items that were left in view.

Jan. 13, 3:36 p.m. 3200 Block of Chestnut Street

A Drexel student was arrested by Drexel Police after he fled the bookstore without paying for items that were concealed in his pocket.

Jan. 13, 8:20 a.m. 3000 Block of Ludlow Street

A Drexel staff member reported that on Jan. 13, between 8:20 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., unknown person(s) broke the window to her vehicle and took a bag containing personal items.

Jan. 13, 11:05 p.m. 3300 Market Street

A Drexel student reported that on Jan. 13, between 11:05 p.m. and 11:20 p.m., unknown person(s) took his iPad and cash that were left in an unsecured locker.

Vandalism 3

Jan. 8, 10:05 p.m. 3300 Race Street

A Drexel staff member reported that on Jan. 8 at 10:05 p.m., unknown person(s) wrote graffiti on the wall of a Drexel owned building.

Jan. 13, 11:50 a.m. 300 Block of North 31st Street

A Drexel student reported that on Jan. 13 at 11:50 a.m., he discovered that the window to his vehicle was broken in an unknown manner.

Jan. 14, 10:35 p.m. 100 Block of North 34th Street

A Drexel staff member reported that on Jan. 14 at 10:35 a.m., unknown person(s) wrote graffiti on the wall of a Drexel owned building.

During the period covered by this report there were six (6) Policy Violations for alcohol and one (1) Policy Violation for drugs. The reports were sent to the Office of Student Conduct for review.
