The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between June 11, 2011 and July 11, 2011. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.
Assault
July 10, 5:50 a.m. 100 Block of North 34th St.
On June 10 at 5:50 a.m., a Drexel student reported that he was involved in a verbal dispute with a male who produced a knife and pointed it at him. Drexel Police arrested non-Drexel affiliate Aldawsari Muteb Bader, 21, and recovered the knife.
Burglary
June 30, midnight 300 Block of North 33rd St.
On June 30, between midnight and 8 a.m., a non-Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) attempted to enter his business by prying the rear door.
July 8, 9 p.m. 3100 Block of J.F.K. Blvd.
Between July 8 at 9 p.m. and July 9 at 1 a.m., a Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) entered his unlocked apartment and took a laptop computer.
July 9, 1 a.m. 3100 Block of J.F.K. Blvd.
On July 9, between 1 a.m. and 1:20 a.m., a Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) entered his unlocked room and took a laptop computer.
July 11, 4:30 p.m. 3100 Block of J.F.K. Blvd.
On July 11, between 4:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., a Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) entered his unlocked apartment and took a laptop computer.
Robbery
June 11, 3:30 a.m. 3300 Block of Market St.
On June 11 at 3:30 a.m., a non-Drexel affiliate reported that he was assaulted by an unknown male who then fled with his vehicle. Minor injuries reported.
July 1, 1:15 a.m. Unit Block of South 36th St.
On July 1 at 1:15 a.m, a non-Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown male assaulted her and took cash from her pocket.
July 10, midnight 3300 Block of Spring Garden St.
On July 10, between midnight and 12:10 a.m., a non-Drexel affiliate reported that a male acquaintance shoved her and stole her purse. No injuries.
Theft
June 27, 10:30 p.m. 1500 Block of Race St.
Between June 27 at 10:30 p.m. and June 28 at 7 a.m., a non-Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) broke his car window and removed a radio.
July 1, 5 p.m. 3300 Block of Market St.
On July 1, between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., a Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) took a watch that was left in an unsecured locker.
July 3, 7:30 p.m. 3300 Block of Market St.
On July 3, between 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., a Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) forced the window to his vehicle and took a laptop computer and cash.
July 8, 7 p.m. 3600 Block of Powelton Ave.
Between July 8 at 7 p.m. and July 9 at 8 p.m., a Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) broke the window to his car and took a GPS.
Vandalism
July 8, 4:30 p.m. 100 Block of North 34th St.
Between July 8 at 4:30 p.m. and July 11 at 7 a.m., a Drexel employee reported that the front window of his truck was broken in an unknown manner.
