Crime and Policy Violations Nov. 7 to Nov. 14

The following crimes occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between Nov. 7, 2014, and Nov. 14, 2014. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

ROBBERY (1)

Nov. 15, 11 p.m. 200 block of North Broad Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that two unknown males approached him; one male produced a handgun and took cash and personal items from him. Males fled on foot south on Broad Street. The complainant suffered no injuries.

THEFT (5)

Nov. 7 to Nov. 10, 3400 block of Lancaster Avenue

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown person(s) took copper tubing from an open construction site.

Nov. 7 to Nov. 10, 3200 block of Market Street

A Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) took his laptop computer that was left unattended in a classroom.

Nov. 12, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. 800 block of North 11th Street

A Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown person(s) took her jacket from an unsecured room.

Nov. 12 to Nov. 17, 3100 block of Market Street

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) took his bicycle that was secured to a bike rack with a cable lock.

Nov. 13, 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. 3200 block of Chestnut Street

A Drexel staff member reported that an unknown person(s) took her credit card from her unattended purse and then used the card to make several unauthorized purchases.

VANDALISM (1)

Nov. 14, 300 block of North 32nd Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that the passenger-side mirror to his car was broken off in an unknown manner.

POLICY VIOLATIONS (11)

During the period covered in this report, there were six (6) Policy Violations for alcohol and five (5) Policy Violations for drugs. The reports were sent to the Office of Student Conduct for review.
