Crime and Policy Violation Report Feb. 26 – Mar. 4

The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between Feb. 26, 2014, and Mar. 4, 2014. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

Assault (2)

Feb. 28, 5 p.m. 100 Block of North 32nd Street

A Drexel student reported that on Feb. 28 at 5 p.m., he was assaulted by his roommate during a verbal dispute. Minor injuries were sustained.

Mar. 2 3500 Block of Powelton Avenue

A Drexel student reported that on Mar. 2, he was assaulted by another student known to him, and on March. 3, he received threats from the same student.

Burglary (1)

Feb. 28, 11:30 a.m. 3300 Block of Hamilton Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that on Feb. 28, between 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., uknown person(s) entered her apartment by force and took a laptop computer and an iPad.

Theft (2)

Feb. 27, 2 p.m. 3300 Block of Market Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that on Feb. 27, between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., she misplaced her wallet and discovered that unknown person(s) made a purchase using her credit card.

Feb. 25 3200 Block of Spring Garden Street

A non-Drexel complainant reported that between Feb. 25 and Feb. 28, while having visitors at her home, unknown person(s) removed her credit cards and ID from her  pocketbook that was left in a common area.

POLICY VIOLATION (4)

During the period covered in this report, there were three (3) Policy Violations for Alcohol and one (1) Policy Violation for Drugs. The reports were sent to the Office of Student Conduct for review.
