Crime and Policy Violation Report Jan. 23 to Feb. 27

The following crimes occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between Feb. 6, 2015 and Feb. 20, 2015. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

ROBBERY (1)

Feb. 15, 1:04 a.m. 3100 block of Hamilton Street

A Drexel student reported that upon entering her building, she was robbed at gunpoint by three unknown males.  Her wallet and cell phone were taken. The males fled on foot west on Hamilton Street.

SEX OFFENSE (1)

Jan. 23, 3300 block of Race Street

A Drexel student reported that she was sexually assaulted by a male Drexel student who is known to her.

THEFT (6)

Feb. 6, 3200 Baring Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown person(s) entered her room with no force and took jewelry from her dresser.

Feb. 13, 3175 John F. Kennedy Boulevard

A Drexel student reported that an unknown male called her on her phone and stated that she owed money to the IRS. After sending the male money via MoneyGram she learned it was a scam.

Feb. 16, 10:30-11:30 a.m. 3200 Chestnut Street

A Drexel student along with two non-Drexel affiliates report that an unknown person entered an open room and took credit cards and cash from their wallets.

Feb. 17, 7:30-7:45 p.m. 3200 Chestnut Street

A Drexel student reported that an unknown person(s) took her iPhone that was left unattended on a table.

Feb. 18 and 19, 100 North 34th Street

A Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown person(s) took a duffel bag containing clothing that was left unattended in a common area.

Feb. 20, 10:03 a.m. 3200 Chestnut Street

A Drexel affiliate reported that an unknown male entered the book store, took articles of clothing and fled the store without paying for the items.

POLICY VIOLATIONS (3)

During the period covered in this report, there was one (1) policy violation for alcohol and two (2) policy violations for drugs. The reports were sent to the Office of Student Conduct for review.
