Crime and Policy Violation Report April 7-April 18

The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between April 7, 2014, and April 18, 2014. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

ASSAULT (1)

April 8, 5:08 p.m. 3100 Block of JFK Boulevard

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that April 8 at 5:08 p.m., an unknown male assaulted him during a verbal confrontation. There were no injuries to the complainant.

BURGLARY (2)

April 9, 8:45 a.m. 3500 Block of Lancaster Avenue

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that April 9, between 8:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., unknown person(s) entered her apartment by forcing the door lock and took assorted jewelry.

April 9, 10:10 a.m. 3500 Block of Lancaster Avenue

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that on April 9, between 10:10 a.m. and 6 p.m., unknown person(s) entered her apartment by forcing the door lock and took a laptop computer and jewelry.

ROBBERY (2)

April 7, 6:45 p.m. 3600 Block of Powelton Avenue

A Drexel student reported that April 7 at 6:45 p.m., an unknown male robbed him of his wallet and iPhone at gunpoint.

April 10, 10:53 a.m. 3000 Block of Market Street

Amtrak Police arrested a female April 10 at 10:53 a.m., after she took an iPod from a non-Drexel affiliate by force. The item was recovered and no injuries were sustained.

THEFT (6)

April 4, 3 p.m. 3300 Block of Market Street

A Drexel student reported that April 4, between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., unknown person(s) took her identification from her wallet that was left unsecured in a common area.

April 9, 8 a.m. 2800 Block of Queen Lane.

A Drexel student reported that April 9, between 8 a.m. and 10:48 a.m., unknown person(s) took a tire and rim from his vehicle.

April 9, 8 a.m. 3000 Block of Market Street

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that April 9, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. unknown person(s) took her iPhone from her bag that was left unsecured in a common area.

April 10, 200 Block of North 34th Street

A Drexel student reported that between April 10 and April 12, unknown person(s) took his bicycle that was secured to a bike rack with a cable lock.

April 11, 9:23 p.m. 200 Block of North 34th Street

A Drexel student reported that April 11, between 9:23 p.m. and 9:49 p.m., unknown person(s) took his iPad that was left unattended in a common area.

April 11, 3300 Block of Race Street

A Drexel student reported that between April 11 and April 13, unknown person(s) took his bicycle that was left unsecured in a storage room.

VANDALISM (1)

April 4, 7:30 a.m. 100 Block of North 32nd Street

A Drexel staff member reported that April 4, between 7:30 a.m. and 8 p.m., unknown person(s) scratched graffiti onto the hood of her vehicle.

POLICY VIOLATION (4)

During the period covered in this report there were two (2) Policy Violations for Drugs and two (2) Policy Violations for Alcohol. The reports were sent to the Office of Student Conduct for review.
