After the goals by Bergman, the Irish proceeded to outscore the Dragons 6-1 for the duration of the half.
Earl opened the fourth with a goal for the Irish. Teammate Sean Rogers put a pair on the board, giving Notre Dame a two-goal edge at 8-6. Colin Igoe then expanded the lead to 9-6 with 7:58 minutes remaining in play.
With just under five minutes left in the fourth, Robert Church tightened the score to 9-7. This was the last point for the Dragons.
For the rest of the game, Notre Dame scored two more goals, solidifying their 11-7 win.
Goalie Mark Manos made 15 saves for Drexel. The Dragons were outshot 38-27 by the Irish.
Fortunately for the Dragons, their game against St. Joe's had a much better outcome.
Drexel defeated the Hawks (0-3) 10-5 Feb. 9. This was the first conference game for both teams, giving Drexel 1-0 record in the Colonial Athletic Association.
The Hawks started the first quarter with back-to-back goals from Johnny Simanski and Kyle Williams.
It wasn't until the final four minutes of the quarter that the Dragons woke up and started attacking the net. Dan Layfield and Nick Trizano put two points on the board, bringing the score to 2-2 to close the quarter.
The second quarter was dominated by the Hawks' offense.
It started off with a pair of goals from Matt Dougherty and Kevin Dougherty, putting St. Joe's in the lead once again by two.
Layfield answered with his second goal of the game, bringing the Dragons within one. The Hawks' Steve Dunn found the net with just over five minutes remaining in the half.
Aaron Prosser began Drexel's 6-0 run by putting the ball past St. Joe's goalie Chris Moffa, just before the end of the half.
For the rest of the game, Drexel denied the Hawks of any goals.
Perri tied the game and then took the lead for the Dragons, all before the 7:45 mark in the fourth quarter. These two goals were just the start of the Perri power surge. He proceeded to score three more goals for Drexel, two of which were back-to-back and the last of the game. In between Perri's points, teammate Church added one on the board.
Manos only made five saves throughout the game.
The Dragons are set to take on Bryant March 13 at Vidas Field.
