The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety between Feb. 12, 2011 and March 5, 2011. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.
Assault 1
March 5, 1:39 a.m. 200 Block of North Natrona St.
On March 5 at 1:39 a.m., Drexel Police arrested a Drexel student after they observed him assaulting another student, who required hospital treatment for his injuries.
Disorderly Conduct 1
March 5, 3:05 p.m. 3200 Block of Powelton Ave.
On March 5 at 3:05 p.m., Drexel Police arrested a Drexel student when he refused to leave the area after creating a disturbance.
D.U.I. 1
March 5, 3:42 p.m. 3200 Block of Chestnut St.
On March 5 at 3:42 p.m., Drexel Police arrested a non-Drexel affiliate named Rachel Crider, 22 years old, after she was involved in an car accident and was found to be intoxicated.
Harassment 1
March 4, 1:20 p.m.
On March 4, between 1:20 p.m. and 1:50 p.m., a Drexel student reported that he received several harassing phone calls from an unknown male.
Theft 3
Feb. 12, 9:00 a.m. 400 Block of North 33rd St.
On Feb. 12, between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., a non-Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) took her laptop from her residence with no signs of forced entry.
Feb. 25, 5:05 p.m. 3200 Block of Market St.
Between Feb. 25 at 3:45 p.m. and Feb. 26 at 3:00 p.m., a Drexel student reported that unknown person(s) took his laptop computer that was left unattended in an unlocked
room.
Feb. 27, 12:30 a.m. 3500 Block of Baring St.
On Feb. 27, between 12:30 a.m. and 1:00 a.m., a non-Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person(s) entered his bedroom, with no signs of forced entry, and took a laptop computer.
Vandalism 1
March 5, 10:00 p.m. 1400 Block of Wood St.
Between March 5 at 10:00 p.m. and March 6 at 4:30 p.m., a Drexel affiliate reported that the rear window of his vehicle was broken.
Alcohol and Drug Policy Violations 7
During the period covered by this reported there were seven (7) policy violations for alcohol. The reports were sent to the Office of Student Conduct for review.
