The four crash victim survivors are making progress and are expected to recover, according to Dave Ruth, Dean of Students.
Freshmen Andrew Cardamone, driver in the crash, and Kevin MacDonald were released from the hospital Jan. 27, according to the Associated Press.
Adam Marsh, a pre-junior, was moved from intensive care Jan. 27 and is in fair condition. A nursing supervisor at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville says 18-year-old Eric Rayburn was in fair condition Tuesday night, according to the article.
Ian Alexander, senior, psychology major and John Williamson, Jr., senior, biological sciences major were fatally injured from the crash that happened Jan. 25 at 3:30 a.m. on Route 15 in north-central Pennsylvania.
Williamson's father and Alexander's mother attended the vigil held on Jan. 26 at North Hall and expressed how overwhelmed they have been with the outpouring of love and support during this very tragic time, according to Ruth.
"All four families continue to express their appreciation to the Drexel community for the many good thoughts, prayers and support during this very difficult time," Ruth said.
Services for John Williamson, Jr. will be held Jan. 29 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Pius X Church on 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, Pa. The mass will be at 12 p.m. at St. Pius followed by a burial at SS. Peter and Paul in Marple, Pa.
Services for Ian Alexander have not yet been formalized, according to Drexel's Student Life web site.
All students were members or prospective members of the Alpha Chi Rho fraternity, including President Ian Alexander. The brothers were on a fraternity trip to other schools in Pennsylvania.
The cause of the one-car wreck is still under investigation, Police said.
