Walton named to ESPN Academic All-American Team

The awards and honors continue to pile up for Karie Walton, captain of the Drexel women's field hockey team. Walton was named to the 2006-07 ESPN: The Magazine Academic All-America Women's At-Large First Team. This is the second time that Walton has earned Academic All-America recognition.

2007 NBA Draft: Sixers get youth with Young, Smith

The first round of the 2007 NBA draft provided both predictable and surprising picks. The first two picks of the draft were too obvious, however. The Portland Trailblazers selected center Greg Oden from Ohio State with the first overall pick. Oden has been compared with the likes of Bill Russell and David Robinson for his game-changing ability on the defensive end.

To Phillies Brass: Bring 'Chris Clutch' Coste to the show

Are there any Phillies fans out there who do not love Chris Coste? Last season, Coste led all Phillies players with at least 200 plate appearances by hitting .328. As a rookie, Coste showed grit and determination to finally reach the big leagues at the ripe old age of 33, and he appreciated every minute of his time in Philadelphia.

'Game Today' shirt garners silver medal

Sean Joyce, Drexel's Corporate Sales Manager and Special Events, received a silver medal for his promotional t-shirt design from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA), at their 16th annual conference in Orlando, Florida. The shirt was navy blue with the words "Drexel Dragons Athletics" and the logo in yellow on the front of the shirt, and the words "Game Today" on the back, also in yellow.
