So maybe at your first contact with a Drexel student, you were given fair warning about the shaft. It's quite possible you were told by a few people that Drexel wasn't their first choice and it's not yours either. But you're here, so why waste your time being cynical when all it does is ruin a potentially great college experience? Drexel students seem to go to great lengths to point out and complain about the negative aspects of Drexel, but how often do you hear someone talking about what they like about Drexel?

It's time to start being proud of our school, to enjoy the great things offered here, and to change the things we don't like instead of just complaining about them. What's so great about Drexel? Well, that's what I intend to share with you. Is there something fantastic at Drexel you want others to know about? Well, it's time to get the word out.

So for starters, its probably a good idea for you to know a bit about my experience with Drexel. I applied to Drexel because of the free application - yeah, I know you did too - and wasn't intending to go here. Once I narrowed my options, I found that Drexel was the most feasible and decided to come, even though it wasn't my first choice.

Freshman year, I was inundated with negativity about Drexel and slowly became less excited about my college experience and more dissatisfied with the University. By the time I reached the end of my freshman year, I decided to transfer to a college closer to home and hoped for a better experience. Much to my disappointment, all I found was another college I wasn't happy with. The longer I was there, the more I missed Drexel and the more I realized how great of a school it really is. I began to recognize that it was my attitude that made Drexel such a bad place to be, and that every school has its flaws.

I returned to Drexel second semester of my sophomore year, confident that this was the place for me. I realized that Drexel has many amazing opportunities to offer its students. I hope to be successful in sharing those opportunities with you. More importantly, you should start sharing them with your peers.

I agree that your experience at school is all about attitude. So many people seem to have a negative attitude at Drexel and it's unfortunate.
