Unsolved Mysteries: Ghost
I highly endorse this product, despite not having seen it in this particular incarnation. I was a huge Unsolved Mysteries fan back in the day and have seen a good number of these clips previously, but I'm not watching this anthology until Halloween night. I'm saving it is because true ghost stories, even in ten minute clips, are way scarier and cooler than 80's slasher flicks. If you can remember watching Unsolved Mysteries and Rescue 911 on tuesday nights, you'll get one facefull of scary as well as nostalgia.
Supermercado!
The 2 Skinnee J's, named after the two lead singers, is a sort of rap group for nerds from Brooklyn. Their first album is famous for Pluto, An audio epic about the cruelty of scientists trying to get the planet Pluto reclassified as a Trans-solar Object due to it's tiny size. they don't bust a single cap or pimp on a single ho, but they do rhyme with cleverness and a stiletto-sharp wit. You can tell you're listening to something unique with these guys.
Invisible Monsters
There are some strange books, and there are some strange books. If you're in college you've almost certainly seen Fight Club, the movie that seems quite loosely based on Chuck Palahniuk's novel. This book is by the same guy, and equally as awesome. Murder, transvestites, high speed chases, intrigue, it's got everything you could possibly want in a book. All of Palahniuk's books are great, but take the Triangle's word for it: Invisible Monsters is a strong contender for the title of 'best'. If you don't read it, how are you ever going to understand why we drive around with our windows up or down, but never partway?
