Aaron Sakulich entertainment editor My mastery of the English language completely fails me when I try to describe the trip I took to New York City on July 23rd to see 80s synth-pop band Devo live in Central Park. Much like Dante's trip through realms beyond, I witnessed immense suffering and horrors beyond imagining, but at the end, I saw something indescribable, something so majestic and awe-inspiring that to attempt to describe it is to dirty the very event: Devo in concert.
First, let me start off by saying that there has never been a movie that I have anticipated more than The Village. Not because M. Night Shyamalan's mother delivered me when I was born, but because I truly believe he is one of the best filmmakers of today. Who would believe that video games based on movies were actually doing well for a change? Anyone playing Spiderman 2 might not. Unlike the surprising Xbox exclusive Chronicles of Riddick and multi-platform Van Helsing, which were excellent titles, Spiderman 2 drops the ball it was given from the first movie's game and reminds everyone of why video games based on movies suck.
Every summer the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival is held at DeSales University, near Allentown. Although that may seem like quite a distance, it's only a stone's throw from the turnpike, and you can actually make it there in a car faster than you can make it to Old City on SEPTA.
