Crew teams place well at Dad Vail Regatta

The men's crew team placed fourth and fifth place respectively in the varsity and novice eight boats.
In the first day of competition, the varsity squad finished fourth place to qualify for the finals. Then in the finals, finished fourth place again just over nine seconds behind winner Temple, who has won the event 14 of the past 15 years.
The boat was only three seconds behind Florida Tech who finished third in the main event.
The men's team also finished fifth in the novice eight boat race, ahead of rival Delaware.
After finishing second in their first race to qualify for the finals, the boat finished a distant fifth in the finals to finish the day.
The men's JV team finished sixth in their event with a time of 6:33.19. The women's varsity eight boat also finished in fourth place in the repachage final, just three seconds behind Connecticut.
In the first day of competition, the boat finished second place in their heat, six seconds behind California-Davis. The time of 7:15.8 was enough to qualify them for the repachage race on the second day.
In the first race of the second day, the women's varsity eight boat finished in fourth place to qualify for the final where they again place fourth with a time of 6:54.0.
