'Intricacies' showcases program

The Antoinette Westphal College of Media Art's and Design hosted May 29 the Drexel Dance Ensemble's performance piece, entitled "Intricacies," named by the dancers to describe the detailed gestures and complex floor patterns to achieve their effect. The performance showcases the talent of the student dancers, not only in performing, but also in the actual choreography and design of pieces.

We are quickly approaching the end of the semester, which means two things: finals are coming up and the Drexel music ensembles are performing their concerts. However, June 3 will prove to be an interesting night for the Mediterranean and Percussion Ensemble performance.

Local band shows much potential on latest record

Except After Sea will hold a release party at World Café Live June 3 at 8 p.m. for its latest album "Asleep at the Wheel." The album became available online this week and the sound is all its own. Guitarists TJ Sanders and Pete Hill blend homophonic acoustic rock with electric driving pop, all grounded in the rhythms of drummer Brandon Ginsberg, yielding 13 tracks that are easy on the ears.

Amber ale proves to be enjoyable

Physics - the logic behind all that we know and experience. Every action and reaction, each event passing through time - all things are bound to those laws. Well, until new laws come around, but that is neither here nor there. For that matter, why am I even considering discussing Aristotelian or Newtonian sciences? Oh, right - beer.
