Botelho carrying Drexel's offense

Junior catcher Ashley Botelho has dominated the Colonial Athletic Association [CAA] ranks for the past two seasons. Last season, Botelho led her team and ranked among the top five in the CAA in batting average (.387), slugging percentage (.613), hits (58), runs batted in (39), doubles (13), home runs (seven), and sacrifice flies (seven).

President of NFL Films Steve Sabol knows all about being a risk taker and not being afraid to make mistakes. After all, some of his greatest works of art came as a result of his many follies during his filmmaking career. "Creativity is making mistakes," Sabol, a 32-time Emmy Award winner, said.

Crew teams both enjoy success at Knecht Cup

The men's and women's crew teams went across the Ben Franklin Bridge this past weekend to compete in Camden, N.J. at the Knecht Cup, where the women's varsity eight captured a bronze medal. The men's freshmen/novice eight also had a successful finish, placing fifth in the Knecht Cup after only practicing three days together as a boat prior to the race.

Dragons bests Villanova

The Drexel men's lacrosse team kept its postseason hopes alive with a critical win over crosstown rival Villanova in a 9-8 nailbiter April 11 at Vidas Field.  The Wildcats were able to rally to score five straight goals to tie the game at seven, before Drexel's Kyle Bergman recorded the game-winner to seal the victory.

W. lax skid continues

The women's lacrosse team (7-6, 0-4 Colonial Athletic Association), which started the season winning seven of its first eight games, has now lost its last five games. The Dragons got four goals from junior Katie Lawson, but fell 17-12 to Towson in their most recent game April 12 in Towson, Md.
