No, it was not one of the highly funded varsity basketball teams or even the nationally ranked men's lacrosse team - it was the Drexel men's club squash team, which clinched its first Chaffee Division National Championship over Vanderbilt by a score of six matches to three Feb.
Drexel women's basketball head coach Denise Dillon knew what her team was capable of, even after the Dragons struggled to a 10-21 record in 2006-07. Greg Casey, Kevin Dart and Taylor Mansfield each had a pair of scores for Drexel (1-2), who lost its first two games of the season to Virginia and Penn.
