McCann breaks eight records

Katie McCann's Drexel legacy lies on the record board above the lanes she swam in during her four-year career. McCann cemented herself amongst the elite swimmers in Drexel history as she capped off her senior season by breaking eight school records at the CAA Championships in Fairfax, Va.

History made after double-OT win over Hofstra

Who knew the men's lacrosse team was going to have to overcome a five-goal deficit and have its goalie make possibly the best save of his career just to have a chance against No. 13 Hofstra? Despite trailing 7-2 in the second half, the No. 11 Dragons stormed back to win a 9-8 thriller over the Hofstra Pride in double overtime March 29 at Vidas Field.

Hluschak finishes All-American career, Mytych sets record

Ryan Hluschak will leave his mark on Drexel as an All-American and one of the greatest wrestlers in Drexel history. Meanwhile, with a win in the NCAA Championships, Steve Mytych set Drexel's single-season win record with 38. Both wrestlers had successful seasons as they made the NCAA Championship this season for the third time in their careers.

Towson ends Drexel's season

It has been a fantastic season for the women's basketball team, and it would have been a crowning achievement to end the Monarchs' 16-year CAA Tournament winning streak in the second round. Unfortunately, the Dragons could not make it out of the first round, falling to Towson 62-53 at the Bob Carpenter Center Mar.

Hynes places 13th at NCAAs

Hynes completed her junior season by placing 13th at the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships on the 3-meter board at Ohio State University. Hynes placed 14th in the preliminary round, but rebounded to finish 5th in the consolation finals to move up a position in the standings.

W. Lax snaps skid

The Drexel women's lacrosse team snapped its two-game losing streak with a 16-12 victory over Bucknell Apr. 1. Previously the Dragons (8-3) dropped one-goal games to St. Joesph's 9-8 in overtime and Hofstra 10-9, both at home. With the win Drexel improved its perfect road mark to 7-0.

IFC Athletics finishes winter season in fashion

Women's softball travels to Newark April 5-6 with all the confidence it needs to take on Delaware, its conference rival. The Dragons finished out two near-perfect games April 2 against St. Peters, denying the Peahens victory twice and dropping them to 0-18 on the season.
