As I sit watching television, drowning in the morbid heat that these past few days have brought, commercial upon commercial of explosions, comedy and animated penguins fly by and I'm left confused. But then it struck me, this rushing sensation of blood that flew straight to the top of my head and burst the figurative light bulb into shards of twisted hot glass and wire which were propelled into the confines where my oldest memories are held: it's the Summer Movie season.

If you are ever driving southbound 95 through Maryland, you might happen to come upon signs for a city called Frederick. I wonder if it was named after someone named Frederick, but given the shock I felt when I found out that Chevy Chase, Md. has no connection to the actor/landshark of the same name, I'll suspend my curiosity for the time being.
