W. basketball still overlooked despite strong season

As the old riddle goes, "If a tree falls in the forest and there is nobody around, does it really make a sound?" Well of course it makes a sound! Or does it? That riddle applied to sports would go something like this- "If you win 17 games, are in 3rd place in the conference, have a Coach of the Year candidate and at least two All-CAA players, and there is nobody around to see or hear it, did it really happen?" It certainly did and that riddle refers to the Drexel Women's Basketball team who are well on their way to their best season since joining the CAA.

Senior night was at the DAC last Saturday as four seniors who have been a huge part of Drexel Basketball the last four years, Phil Goss, Jeremiah King, Sean Brooks and Danny Hinds, saw their last game at the DAC. After the game, Coach Flint said, "When these guys look in the media guide, they're not going to be just in the picture.

IFC wins four awards, recognition at national conference

Four awards were presented to Drexel's Interfraternity Council at the Northeast Regional Conference March 5. "They are a great recognition for all the hard work the IFC officers and chapters have done over the past year," IFC President John Dougherty, said.

USGA hosts Law School discussion

Senior Vice President and General Counsel Carl "Tobey" Oxholm discussed the University's plans for the creation of a law school by September 2006 at a meeting of the Undergraduate Student Government Association March 7. "We are still very early on in the process," Oxholm said.
