Mason can't repeat buzzer-beater in loss to VCU

It looked like a replay of the Dragons game against Virginia Commonwealth last month when Bashir Mason made a buzzer beating three-pointer to defeat the Rams in Richmond. The result, however, was a bit different. Virginia Commonwealth held off Drexel by a score 62-59, Feb.

Martin scored 1,500th in win

The women's basketball team travelled to Richmond, Va. to take on Virginia Commonwealth Feb. 6 and defeated them by a score of 60-46 as Katrina Martin scored her 1,500th point in the game. The win gives Drexel a 13-6 record (7-3 in Colonial Athletic Association) and continues their outstanding year and puts them two games ahead of Hofstra fo third place in the CAA.

Giosa's pins lead Dragons over North Carolina, Brown

Freshman Ed Giosa was the fourth Dragons to win Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week as he pinned his opponents in Drexel wins over North Carolina and Brown. Jon Oplinger and Ryan Hluschak, two other freshmen who have been honored in 2004-05 for Rookie of the Week, also went 2-0 on thee day.

Once again, Philadelphia must wait until 'Next Year'

Owens proved his worth and heart with Super Bowl heroics

Terrell Owens was right. If it was Brett Favre who injured his ankle in week 15 of the NFL season and then came back, risking his career, to play in the Super Bowl against doctor's orders, he would have been hailed as a warrior for the two weeks leading up to the big game.
