To address student concerns about law school admissions and fast-approaching application deadlines, the Steinbright Career Development Center and the Biddle Pre-Law Society hosted a law school admissions panel of admissions personnel from nine regional law schools. The event, held at the Edmund Bossone Research Center Auditorium Jan. 26, featured questions relating to all aspects of law school admissions from LSAT scores to financial aid. Approximately 150 people attended the event, and while a majority of them were juniors in class standing, there were also many professionals considering returning to school to study law, college seniors and sophomores and a freshman student.
The event opened with greetings from Biddle Law Society President Patrick Griffin, followed by welcome remarks from the University General Counsel and Senior Vice President for the Drexel Law Center Carl Oxholm. Oxholm remarked that the law schools represented at the panel were extremely noteworthy and joked that anyone not considering applying to them should probably not be applying to law school at all. Various members from the audience then had a chance to ask questions regarding the admissions process.
