As a result of an increase in theft from vehicles, intelligence was gathered by Drexel Public Safety and that information was shared with Philadelphia Police. That information resulted in the identification of a suspect. On June 20, that suspect was observed by Philadelphia Police walking through Drexel's campus. He was put under surveillance and arrested after he was observed breaking into a vehicle on the 3000 block of JFK Boulevard. Theft from vehicles have declined dramatically since this arrest.
