Don't know what PVCA's problem is. Resident's don't have any problem finding parking. I've been living in various PV areas the past few years as a student at Drexel, and parking my car without a permit every night. Since I don't register my car in Philadelphia, I can't get a permit and have to park in non-metered spots as I'm not out by 8am most days. On every street from Powelton through Haverford, the train tracks up to 38th street, there are *always* permit spaces available day or night, while there are times the non-permit spaces are all full for blocks. The only problem I see is too many permit spaces, not too few.

The PVCA is not entirely up on this idea. There are several residents throughout the PV area that are against it, I for one. I'm not techincally apart of the PVCA just another resident of the area. The plight is that certain areas of PV are effect while others are not so much.

What the situation is that people are trying to get uniform code for parking instead of what they have now. What the PVCA as a majority do not understand is that its more of a block by block case than a whole neighborhood situation.

Changing the permit times is to truly combat the commuters who come into the PV area and park, not the students. That is what I got from the inital meeting.

If anything, if people are interested in finding out more I would suggest going to the PVCA meetings which are open to the public, least concerning this matter.

(Its going to be at the CEC on 35th and Lancaster)
