Opinion of which beer is better aside, the article is inaccurate in its reporting and premise. The author prefers the Lion Brewing Co. Yard's IPA over the Philadelphia Brewing Company's Newbold IPA. Everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion. However, Yard's is no longer a local Philadelphia product and the Yards former master brewer/head brewer now works for Philadelphia Brewing Co. As a matter of fact every single employee that was Yards now works for Philadelphia Brewing Co. For whatever reason the author would have the reader believe that Yard's is local and that its top brewer moved to another location. However Yard's brewing products are no longer brewed in Philadelphia and have not been since the brewery on Amber Street changed its name. Yard's beer beer became a product of the Lion Brewery in Wilkes Barre, PA in 2007. The production information is clearly listed on the label. As for local, New York City is closer to Philadelphia than Wilkes Barre.

The Yards Brewery is located at 910 N Deleware Ave. which, for the record, is in Philadelphia.
