Yay! The rumors about the hotel were true! Two things: 1.) I like the Marriott design much better but in any case I hope whoever builds it follows in Comcast Center's footsteps and improves the 30th street SEPTA subway concourse as well. 2.) I hope this means the rumors about the ESPN Sports Zone in the new DAC expansion are also true (this one is doubtful but, hey, a guy can hope and dream)! Lastly I just have to laugh at the fact that someone thinks the DAC expansion is going to be completed by fall of 2009. Doesn't really seem realistic especially at Drexel where no construction is ever completed by the time they say it will be! Let's hope we don't have another academic building scaffolding fiasco on our hands!! If they plan on completing it by then they really should get started, like oh I don't know say, yesterday! Overall I'm really impressed with and excited about the new plans though! Too bad I'll be done with classes (and probably moved out of the area) by the time anything gets built though!

Oh and P.S. Yay for tearing down McAllister! And down with the Creese Student Center as well! We need a student center that actually serves its purpose...a gathering place for students! Like the HUB at Penn State Main...now that's a student center! They have just about every student organization you could ever imagine. 696 organizations! Holy schnikies!!

I like the Marriott proposal for the hotel better. It is more interesting and would be a great landmark and gateway for Drexel.

Yea...because Pearlstein, Bossone, Race Street Dorm, Ross Commons, Van R, North, Caneris, and the countless other renovations and landscaping improvments in the last ten years have been shit, right? Are you an idiot? As Drexel's average SAT and GPA continue to shoot up and acceptance rate continues to shoot down, I can take comfort knowing that people like you won't be accepted to this university anymore.

Yeah I'm going to have to agree with Stan on this one. That comment was a little obnoxious and unintelligent! Way to support your university, man! Seriously, I don't think Drexel is unveiling all these plans as an April Fools joke. They're not going to say look at all this great stuff we're going to build...just kidding!

If you don't like it then LEAVE! I'm sure the Drexel community would be much more pleasant without you anyway.

I'm glad to see this expansion of Starwood - its time that Marriott and Hilton get even more healthier competition.

Apart from the inclusion of a campus police department all the plans sound fantastic. I can't wait to see them finally built. Good to know designers are thinking of campus safety.
