La Dominique offers delicious crepes to suit your cravings for something either sweet or savory.

A personal favorite, the little "creperie" on wheels, La Dominique, is located on Market Street, off of 33rd Street, right in front of the College of Law. In a tiny silver truck, the owner, an artist of 40 years, serves up delicious crepes ranging from the classic and sweet, to the modern breakfast and lunch crepes.

According to the owner, the most popular crepe is the "Viennese," made with bananas, coffee cream and praline. The creperie also offers breakfast and lunch crepes, including a "perogi" crepe made with potatoes, cheese and sour cream.

The truck is sparkling clean, and the crepes are made on spotless pans. The owner adds a special touch to each crepe, be it a sliced strawberry on top, whipped cream, cognac sauce, or all of the above.

A self-proclaimed "artist-turned-chef," the owner opened the cart a little over a month ago. The name, he says, was inspired by his own granddaughter, Dominique. The crepes range in price from $5 to $6, and are served fresh on the spot.

It takes about 10 minutes for each crepe to be made, but they are well worth the wait. Stop by this truck for a pleasant change from the usual lunch truck fare.
