As the term draws to a close, we all surely are beginning to resent our professors and classes and just want to be heading home for the holidays. But if we step outside the stress of finals for a moment, how well have our professors really done this term? Our opportunity to give them a grade is coming up in our final course evaluations.

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, an estimated 26.6 percent of all citizens over the age of 18 suffer from mental illness in America, most typically resulting from high stress levels. Because of our country's culture, it isn't difficult to become overwhelmed-we are in a debilitating recession with 24-hour news portraying grisly crimes, not to mention the "terror index," self-managed retirement plans, unemployment rates-and the list goes on.

Even if everyone else seems to be dwelling on his team's 0-2 start, Bruiser Flint, head coach of the Drexel men's basketball team, certainly isn't putting much stock into it.

Plagued by early inconsistency on the offensive end, foul trouble and some very bad luck, Flint's team dropped its season opener to Saint Joseph's 77-67 in overtime Nov.

There's a professional women's soccer league. There's a professional women's basketball league. There's a professional women's softball league.

However, there's no professional women's football league. Instead, there's only a lingerie football league.

What? Scantily clad women playing football? That's just dumb.

When Bryce Avary of The Rocket Summer stepped on stage to open his set during The Cheap Date tour, he did so without his band. He headed for the drums, and after setting a beat, he let it play as a loop. He proceeded to play the guitar, bass, and keyboard, letting each instrument record and the sounds repeat before he approached the microphone and added vocals.

Mon discusses changing majors

Dear Monica,

I want to change my major, but I don't know where to start. Do you know how?

Sincerely,

Majorly Confused Dear Confused,

The first thing you need to do is set up a meeting with your current academic advisor. There you will receive a change of major form (also called an ABCD form) which you'll need to get signed by your current program director, the program director of your new major, the financial aid office, the billing office and the co-op office.

It's not uncommon to find organic or independent companies these days. Over the past few years, it seems like more and more have been springing up all over the world. One thing that is still rather rare, however, is finding an independently owned and run company that has been in continuous operation for over 200 years.
