Have you ever been in a rush to get to classes and ran into a big blue tarp when trying to get through the Quad? Have you gotten lost amongst piles of poles and dirt while trying to find your way into the gym? Have you heard rumors about a Taco Bell in the Hagerty Library and went to check it out, only to find a crowded set of tables and no food in sight but lame Sodehxo snacks? Have you crashed into a fence surrounding Kelly? If any of the above situations apply to you, you may agree with our simple request.

For previous generations, the influence came in the form of depression, war, liberation of the society on political, social and sexual levels, the power of free speech and being able to change the world with direct action.

I never questioned that; I didn't have to.

I could see it in his facial expression or his body language any time one of his players made a careless pass in his own end or took a foolish penalty which led to a man-advantage goal for the opposition.

Nicole Hester is as modest a person as you will meet.

Fortunately for the recently graduated women's basketball standout, her well-documented battle against Hodgkin's Lymphoma and ultimate victory against the potentially fatal disease, speaks for itself - as do the awards that come along with it.

New logo will not change mediocre Sixers

Last week the 76ers unveiled their "new" team logo for the 2009-10 season. Well, it's not really new considering it's the same logo worn by the 1983 championship team, but it does serve a purpose.

Over the last few seasons the Sixers have been a very mediocre franchise.

The Walnut Street Theatre's 200th season is coming to a close with Mel Brooks' Tony-Award winning musical, "The Producers." The comedy came to life as the local and international cast kept the audience in stitches. Every aspect of the production was fabulous and a perfect complement to the high-energy performance.

One of the things that I really enjoy about summertime is the movies. I love big blockbusters that are a little superficial and heavy on special effects and star power. Every summer, there is a new batch of big budget studio flicks that I cannot wait to see.

As well as "the year of the ox," 2009 is proving to be "the year of band comebacks." Many bands have reformed and returned to life on the road. No Doubt is one of these bands to head back out on tour this year. They were never officially broken up, but like many bands they were on a hiatus without a definite promise of when they would return.

Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful, exciting break. I have found quite the experience for our returning peers: Ommegang's Biere de Mars, literally, a trial-type brew. Biere de Mars is a Biere de Garde, a "beer to be guarded." Don't confuse this with the likes of the American Strong; Beire de Garde is strictly experimental, but the moniker is not catchall.
