The Triangle is currently printing once every two weeks for the summer. Weekly production will return the week before the Fall term. Between issues, stay tuned to TheTriangle.org for Breaking News coverage and check out our blogs at Blogs.TheTriangle.org.
The Newspaper

First appearing on campus in 1926, The Triangle is the newspaper-of-record at Drexel University. The paper is published every Friday during the fall, winter, and spring terms, and every other week over the summer. Being both financially and editorially independent of the University, all decisions about content as well as the paper?s growth are made by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board.

The Triangle covers campus and Philadelphia news, sports and entertainment as it affects the Drexel community. Each issue also contains commentaries, classifieds, puzzles & comics and a campus events calendar.

The Website
The Triangle has had a website in one form or another since the mid 90?s. Originally hosted on a staff member?s personal computer, thetriangle.org is now hosted by College Publisher. The 2007-2008 publishing year has brought a large transformation of The Triangle?s website. An overall redesign tops the list of changes, along with the implementation of blogs and video. Another new internet endeavor is a partnership with Philly.com, the website for The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Philadelphia Daily News. We are one of the first college newspapers to be a part of this new site and our content is available in a special section of their site called CollegeSpot, allowing it to reach a much wider audience.

Special Edition Issues & Magazines
Throughout the year we produce many special edition issues and several separate magazines. These issues usually have increased circulation and are a great opportunity for advertisers to reach more of the Drexel community than a regular issue. Some of the issues include...

Basketball Preview: A separate magazine that is inserted in the paper about a week before college basketball season begins. It provides season predictions, player and coach interviews, and a breakdown of the entire conference, among other things. Advertisers may place display ads directly in the magazine.

Orange Brick: A special section of the paper published towards the end of the Spring term. It recognizes those people and organizations that we covered throughout the year that deserve extra credit for being such an great news story. To see the latest awards, click here.

The Rectangle- A full broadsheet issue that is released for April Fool?s Day. It features joke articles, reviews and commentaries to coincide with the holiday. Do to the joking nature of the issue, we do not allow ads to run in this issue.
